In September Bart Naessens was our guest in the otolith house. We talked about how an expert could lead other experts. The example of the musician who conducts other musician is easily transferred to other “technical” professions. Expert leadership is not easy and often leaders shy away from what they should do out of respect for the professional integrity of the colleague expert. Bart explained us how he managed to cope with this conundrum.

You can listen to a fragment of that talk here

We are happy to announce that Bart has been awarded with the Musician of the Year Award by the Flemish classical radio station Klara.

This is what the report says about him

Bart Naessens is the allround musician par excellence. His action radius in classical music is impressive: conductor, artistic leader, continuo and organ player, teacher in the Brussels conservatory and the well-known Lemmens institute in Louvain and as inspirator for amateur musicians.

We are proud we had Bart among us and we will follow his endeavours.
Should you be interested in finding out more about expert leadership, we will do a one day master class in August on this topic. You can register now.
