How to move from strategy to execution? Too often there is a separation between strategic thinking and strategic action. Or there is a lack of translation of the strategy into capabilities.

This article provides a list of questions to ask when you want to go for better execution of strategy.

The authors end the article with this phrase:

“In sum, collective action, i.e., large-scale cooperation, is a major competitive advantage of humanity — to craft a fiction and make it become a reality. For that, three things have to come together: 1) a good strategy, 2) the right organization, and 3) effective management. With these three ingredients in place, human ingenuity can be unleashed, and we can collectively achieve what we do at our best — realize our dreams.”

Strategy is always about behavior.
